Global coffee exports have slumped by 5.2 per cent to 78.45 million bags in the first ten months of the 2009-10 crop year, though shipments jumped in India and Indonesia, says UK-based international coffee body.
The exports stood at 82.73 million bags, 60 kg each, in the same period last year. The coffee crop year runs from October to September.
“Exports in the first 10 months of the 2009-10 coffee year have decreased by 5.2 per cent to 78.45 million bags,” the International Coffee Organisation (ICO) said.
